Our History
1947-Present
1947
Graybeal Rest Home was started by Albert and Lois Graybeal with 28 residents in two buildings. The Graybeal family resided on the second floor of the main house (now referred to as the Annex) - sharing two dining rooms, bathrooms, and a living room with the residents. The barn was renovated into “The Men’s Building” to accommodate the male residents.
1958
Frank Graybeal, Albert and Lois’ youngest son and his wife Ruth, purchased Graybeal Rest Home and renamed it Graybeal Nursing Home. Frank and Ruth lived on-site in the Annex with their two young sons, moving across the road with the arrival of their third son.
